5th Grade Teacher: PMK is “reaching children through three styles of learning”
“Thank you so much for creating PowerMoves Kids! My fifth grade students and I love it. If I happen to forget to include a PowerMoves Kids break into our day, my students remind me.
“They said it relaxes them and makes them feel better. I've noticed that it helps us all regain our focus, especially after an intense activity. After a PowerMoves Kids break, we are all ready to go back to work.
“The character education portion of this program is reaching the children through three different styles of learning: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic:

Atlanta Falcons Youth Fitness Contest: Develops Whole Child "Very Affordable”
“PowerMoves Kids is a classroom program that provides both fitness and character education solutions. This program helps children to stay focused while having fun moving.
"I am nominating PowerMoves Kids because I feel that it is important to have programs that develop the whole child. PowerMoves Kids helps to not only teach students valuable fitness lessons, but also character education.
"The most impressive thing to me is that it can be included in every classroom on a daily basis. The lessons are set up so that you can do small lessons lasting a minute or two or full lessons that can fill a complete 60 minute class. All of this at a very affordable price."
Tim Lowery, Elementary School Teacher and Coach - Tahlequah Public Schools, OK
Elementary PE Teacher: “I absolutely love it and my PE classes do as well!!!”
“I was just writing to tell you how much I appreciate you introducing the PowerMoves Kids program to me!!! I absolutely love it and my PE classes do as well!!!
“I think the program is one-of-a-kind! It really has helped teach what it means to be a person of character while showing ways to develop good character. We use the postures as an everyday routine as we recite the quote or quotes. We also use the games (in the Teacher’s Curriculum) to practice the character trait we are learning and focusing on that week. It's just awesome!
“I think this program would be so great to have in a regular classroom setting for times when the kids are getting restless and their minds are overwhelmed. It's great for physical education too, or at least it has been for me and my students! PowerMoves Kids is an opportunity to get some movement into the classroom while students are also learning how to possess good character. It is a wonderful program and I would encourage all teachers to look into it for our students and children! Thanks so much!”
Michelle Sweney, P.E. Teacher - Tony Goetz Elementary, Muskogee, OK

"I believe that all YMCA organizations will want to adopt PMK for their kids' programs. It fits like a glove with their mission statement and character development program philosophy of ‘Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.' I also think that PMK is something the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts would embrace. A new badge, perhaps! The PMK badge for memorizing the 'I have a dream' Sequence and learning all the postures!

“The character education portion of this program is reaching the children through three different styles of learning: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic:
- Visual learning: The particular character trait being addressed (with its definition and appropriate quotes) stays on the board throughout the week. We also write about the trait during one of our journaling activities for the week.
- Auditory learning: The character trait, its definition, quotes, and life examples are discussed in class.
- Kinesthetic learning: As we physically perform the PowerMoves, our entire bodies become living illustrations of the character trait itself.
